u4gm Path of Exile 2 Raging Spirits Farming Guide
#1
If you have been keeping an eye on Path of Exile 2 and you are thinking about pulling off a Summon Raging Spirit build, you are on the right track. The SRS playstyle is one of those things that has stuck around for years, and for good reason – it is easy to get into, hits like a truck once set up, and lets you focus more on movement and positioning than spamming attack buttons. Personally, I love that “set it and forget it” vibe, with a swarm of flaming skulls tearing apart enemies while you just dodge and pick your next target. Getting your first gem is not hard either – if you roll a Witch, you will almost certainly see it offered early, likely after knocking down Hillock or finishing a main quest in Act 1. If you pick another class, do not panic – once a character in your account unlocks that quest reward, you can simply buy it from a town vendor for a tiny cost in common currency like Scrolls of Wisdom or an Orb of Transmutation. That’s about as cheap as picking up PoE 2 Currency from a vendor in-game.

Now here is the bit that trips up newer players – “farming” in the case of skill gems is not about hunting the same monster endlessly. What you are actually doing is setting yourself up to have several copies of the same gem levelling at the same time.

There is a neat trick for this: grab extra Raging Spirit gems from the vendor once you have the first, jam them into your spare weapon swap set, and just play normally. Even if you never swap to them in combat, gems sitting in the inactive slots still tick away at 10% of your XP gains, so you end up passively levelling a bunch without noticing. It is one of those little systems that only clicks after someone points it out – then you wonder how you did without it.

Leveling multiple copies is all about gambling for power in the endgame. Once a gem hits level 20, you can throw a Vaal Orb at it. This is where it gets spicy. Most of the time, the outcome is just so-so – maybe nothing changes, maybe it drops to 19 – but the dream hit is pushing it to level 21. One extra level might not sound like much, yet for a build like SRS it is a flat damage boost across the board.

That is why people keep half a dozen gems cooking in the background, chasing that one golden corruption result. A friend of mine once hit two level 21s in a single day, and I am still jealous.

The beauty of this method is you do not need complicated crafting knowledge to pull it off. Start by grabbing your quest gem, buy more from the vendor as soon as you can, slot them into your offhand weapons, and just play the game. By the time you hit maps, you will likely have a small stack ready for corruption attempts. It is a slow burn, sure, but it sets you up for some massive pay-offs later on – much like investing in poe 2 cheap currency before you really need it.
